About Me

Hi, My name is Leanne, thank you for clicking on my profile.

I offer a friendly, non judgemental, confidential practice for you to begin your

counselling journey, whatever the difficulties may be.

For the last few years I have worked with both trauma and abuse charities

supporting people who have experienced or are living with the affects of abuse.

Alongside that, I have extensive experience of working with couples on all issues

affecting relationships, including coercive and narcissistic behaviours.

My other expertise lies with working with anxiety, trauma and bereavement, all of which can feel

debilitating, and I understand how each of these can affect your daily life, work and family dynamic.

The support I offer, with counselling tailored to you, would allow you to have a new narrative.

It doesn't have to impact your daily life.

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist

and understand that sometimes talking to friends and family is not enough.

Counselling is your time to be heard, a space to talk to through the things you may need to talk about the most.

I am here to support you get to where you would like to be  and working collaboratively

can help you change negative behaviour patterns, develop a sense of autonomy and empower you

to tackle obstacles with a new sense of confidence.

I have worked for 15 years supporting young people, adults and couples with issues

that they feel are preventing them from moving forward to get to to where they need to be.

I want to reassure you that if you decide to embark on counselling,

I will bring this experience to support your journey, you will be in safe hands.

Working collaboratively is essential and I will help you gain clarity,

as well as giving you the tools to empower yourself.

I provide an integrative approach, consisting of Talking Therapy, TA, CBT, and DBT

and have practices based in Heaton Moor and Wilmslow.

This approach allows you the time to talk through things you are struggling with

whilst, if required, gives you strategies to support and promote change.

Mostly, I offer a friendly, empathic space for you to be heard.

You are unique, so your therapy will be tailored specifically to help you address the issues

troubling you, to help you make a positive change.

It is essential to have an honest relationship with your counsellor and I will help

establish trust by providing a warm, non judgmental environment for you to feel safe to work within.

Therapy can be, and at times should be, challenging, but by working together

negative behaviour patterns can be changed.

If you feel you are ready to begin counselling, please call to have a chat and see

how we can work together to help make that positive change happen.

I am a registered member of the BACP, have DBS and offer face-to-face

or zoom appointments. I work with both individuals and couples.
