In a calm, neutral, safe environment, neurodiversity-affirming counselling provides a supportive space to understand your unique strengths, challenges, and ways of experiencing the world. It helps you explore identity, manage stress, build confidence, and develop strategies that work for your individual brain. Together, we celebrate difference and focus on helping you thrive authentically.

Men talk too. Counselling offers a confidential, supportive space to talk openly about life’s pressures, relationships, mental health, and identity , without judgment or expectation. It helps you build emotional resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and connect more deeply with yourself and others. It can help give you the space to gain clarity.
Individual Therapy
Individual Counselling
Individual counselling offers a calm, safe, non-judgemental space to explore issues that are troubling you. Your confidential space to explore thoughts, behaviours and feelings and have a better understanding of yourself and others. Sometimes talking to friends and family isn’t enough.
Relationship Therapy
Relationship Counselling
This can be for individuals, couples, older children and parents, siblings or even friends. You will be supported so everyone feels heard and can make the change you need to better relationships.
Bereavement Therapy
Bereavement counselling
Bereavement counselling offers a compassionate space to navigate the pain of losing someone you love. Through gentle guidance and supportive conversation, it helps you process grief at your own pace, explore your emotions safely, and find ways to adjust to life after loss. You don’t have to go through it alone, support is here when you need it.

My aim is to support you, to help you feel safe and heard, and to make the changes you need to have a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
Only you can do it, but you don’t have to do it alone. I ensure you have a safe space to challenge negative behaviour patterns, develop an understanding of these behaviours and why and then tools to make the change. I ensure that what we do is tailored specifically to you using 3 different models of therapy.
I have worked with one of the UK’s leading domestic abuse charities and supported the prison service in helping individuals who are in or who have suffered domestic abuse.
Alongside that, I have extensive experience working with couples on all issues affecting relationships, including coercive and narcissistic behaviours.
My other expertise lies with working with anxiety, trauma and bereavement, all of which can feel debilitating, and I understand how each of these can affect your daily life, work and family dynamic.
I offer a free initial consultation, which enables you to tell me a little more about the issues you would like to address and what you would like from therapy.
Using an integrative approach, I can tailor the following approaches to support your needs.
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and challenge intrusive thought patterns, and develop more balanced and constructive ways of thinking and acting.
-
Person-Centred Therapy (PC) creates a safe, non-judgmental space where you set the pace and talk openly, reflecting on the past and present to help gain clarity.
-
Transactional Analysis (TA) builds self-awareness and helps you understand why and where your unhelpful behaviours originated and relationship dynamics. Whether this is with partners, family, friends, or colleagues, you will effect change to communicate more clearly and break unhelpful cycles.
LOCATIONS
All sessions are held in private, comfortable spaces, providing a safe, confidential and calming environment.

ABOUT ME

Leanne Connelly, BSc (Hons) MBACP (Accred)
Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, and understand that sometimes talking to friends and family is not enough.
Counselling is your time to be heard, a space to talk through the things you may need to talk about the most.
My career began in education, teaching and safeguarding, working with complex trauma and supporting individuals and families through difficult journeys. From there, I qualified as a counsellor. I have now worked for over 15 years supporting young people, adults and couples with issues that they feel are preventing them from moving forward to get to where they need to be.
I want to reassure you that if you decide to embark on counselling, I will bring this experience to support your journey, and you will be in safe hands. Working collaboratively is essential, and I will help you gain clarity, as well as give you the tools to empower yourself.
